I say this on Ali Edwards' blog and thought it would be great fodder for a blog post. Then I read Cathy Zielski's blog, and she did the same thing. So it must be true, and I didn't pass up an opportunity:
Outside my window... Are pink peonies and white calla lillies struggling to hold on to the last few blooms.
I am thinking... about the long list of things I have to do, classes I need to design, classes I want to take, layouts I want to do. So much to do and so little time.
I am thankful for... good friends and family.
From the kitchen... broiled some coho salmon last night; burgers off the grill tonight.
I am wearing... white capris, black t-shirt, and house slippers. Standard casual summer wardrobe
I am creating... layouts with the DixiePieces July kit!
I am going... for a walk with hubby and dog tonight -- I didn't get my walk in at lunch so gotta do it tonight. One more thing on my to do list.
I am reading... The Lion's Game by Nelson DeMille. It will take me forever at 30 minutes or less a week. Also listening to The Shack on my iPod. I'll be done with that much sooner!
I am hoping... that my mom still recognizes her oldest daughter's voice when I call her this weekend -- it's been three or four weeks since I called. Kidding. She will recognize me. But she may be worried.
I am hearing... the rotation noise of the fan above my head. I'm thankful for that ceiling fan but sure which it didn't hum.
Around the house... it's quiet tonight.
One of my favorite things... the long days of summer. I love the light!
A few plans for the rest of the week... go to work Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Prepare for the July kit release at Dixie Pieces. Decide if I'm going to CKU Provo. Decide if and where we're going this weekend to celebrate our anniversary.
