Well, okay, I actually slept through the 4.5 earthquake yesterday morning, but I was awake by the time it stopped. Love that we have a single-story [aka ranch] house; they don't shake as much. I got up and then went back to bed. I didn't connect the early morning wakefulness with the quake until I was in the shower an hour later. Robert didn't even realize we had one.
After work last night I stretched out on the bed for a quick nap, and I noticed our smoke alarm dangling from the ceiling by the wires. We couldn't figure out why; Robert played for 15 minutes and finally figured out it was fine. Again, we didn't connect the dots with the earthquake until much later. No real damage here -- one smoke alarm dislodged and a some kitchen trim dropped 1/4" from ceiling. But that's it. That and a dog who is a little more clingy! :)
